CHRIST FOR US: Catechesis and Synodical Unity
July 12-14, 2022
Grace Lutheran Church, Grand Island, Nebraska
It is the Church’s responsibility to teach the faith faithfully and clearly to every generation. Rooted in Holy Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions, the conference examined the central place of catechesis in the life of the congregation, especially through the use of Luther’s Small Catechism as a chief teaching tool for the home and the Church. Such catechesis enables families and congregations to pass on the faith in a way that is clear, consistent, and grounded in the Scriptures, strengthening both individual believers and the unity of the Church.
