CHRIST FOR US: The Divine Service, 2013
April 16-18, 2013
Trinity Lutheran Church, Austin, Texas
The liturgy has a vital role in the sacred space where God delivers His gifts to His people. This conference addressed the diversity and confusion regarding worship practices within the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and sought to provide a clear, confessional voice on how the Divine Service shapes the identity and unity of the Church. By examining 'new wineskins' in light of the 'same old Lutheran wine,' presenters helped attendees think through the theological implications of worship style and the necessity of concordia—true agreement—in both teaching and practice.
