CHRIST FOR US: The Lord’s Supper!
February 7-8, 2012
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Lincoln, Nebraska
Holy Communion is at the center of the Church’s life and worship. The conference addressed critical issues surrounding church fellowship, the proper administration of the Sacrament, and the biblical necessity of church discipline in light of Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions. The practical challenges of exceptions in communion practice and the foundational role of the Sacrament in the "true visible church" were discussed to strengthen congregations in their commitment to a right administration of the Lord's Supper, ensuring that the Gospel is proclaimed clearly and the Sacrament is received to the spiritual benefit of all.
